THE FIXED-WING UAV FOR WIDE-AREA SURVEILLANCE
The Flying Scout is a thermal fixed-wing UAV with a 4.20 m wingspan, equipped with a high-resolution EO/IR camera. Thanks to the high flight stability and the high-quality gimbal, the Flying Scout provides very stable images and thus allows to carry out video surveillance missions of great accuracy over large areas.
This fixed-wing solution allows to carry out ISR missions (Information, Surveillance and Recognition), over very large areas and for long periods, up to 10 hours of flight.
It provides a real-time aerial video surveillance over an area of 10 000 km². This is the only solution on the market able to cover such a surface!
It is less expensive than conventional aerial solutions such as plane or helicopter, it provides a discreet surveillance and keeps ground staff safe.
High performance UAV
With its 10 hour-autonomy, the flying Scout is the most enduring fixed-wing drone on the market. It moves at a cruiser speed of 80 km/H and a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
The Flying Scout can ensure HD images return in a 60-km range, so it can provide a real-time aerial video surveillance over an area of more than 10 000 km². This is the only solution on the market able to cover such a surface!
This fixed-wing UAV can fly in extreme weather conditions, with wind up to 70 km/h, and is operational for day and night surveillance.
High precision payload and secured data transmission
The payload provides real-time, georeferenced images with 1280 x 720 HD resolution for the optical sensor and 640 x 480 for the IR sensor. It allows, during the day, a vehicle detection at 5 km and his identification at 800 m. The optronic pod is also equipped with automatic target tracking, motion detection and hot spots detection functions.
The video can be transferred to a security control centre through an encrypted data transmission. Videos can be recorded with STANAG 4609 metadata.
The Flying Scout is easy to carry and to deploy. Its implementation requires only 2 people: a remote pilot and a payload operator.
The drone is ready to fly in 20 minutes. It takes off on a launch catapult and lands smoothly on its belly.
The Flying Scout fixed-wing UAV is ideally suited for all missions requiring surveillance over 1h30.
