TETHERED DRONES FOR EMERGENCY

Tethered drones offer aerial vantage viewpoint to prevent risks, manage an operation in real-time and support emergency services after crisis.  

 

VERSATILITY

Fitted with EO/IR sensors, tethered drones meet many use cases. High zoom optic sensor allows the drone both to cover a wide area (thousands of hectares) and to have a precise view (detection of a human from 10 km / 6 mi). IR sensor helps to identify men or hot points and to maintain surveillance during the night.

QUICK ACTION

Designed for the field, tethered drones are very fast to deploy. Thus, they allow quick situation assessments of designated areas and help emergency services for making quickly the right decision.

 

 

 

ACCESS TO RESTRICTED AREAS

Unlike other surveillance solutions such as helicopter or human patrols, tethered drone can take off almost everywhere, access and fly in restricted environments at low altitude, while ensuring the safety for emergency services stayed on the ground.

LONG LASTING OBSERVATION       

Linked to a tethering power unit, captive emergency drones offer unlimited observation time. They are thus particularly suitable to carry out time-consuming observation missions.

There are as many uses cases as risks and these inevitably have several dimensions.

Tethered drone systems are especially helpful for the monitoring of natural hazards. For instance, in the case of a forest fire, thermal sensors may be used to detect more precisely trapped persons in a heavy smoke. Likewise, after an earthquake, they can be useful to locate lost persons under debris. 

Furthermore, tethered emergency drones are the perfect tools to carry out inspection mission, prevent technological accident or potential attack. If this happens, aerial images provide strategical information to manage the crisis without compromising the security of emergency teams.
